Shilphata is located about 5KM south of Mumbra in the Thane district. It is in the middle of the Mumbai Metropolitan Region. Due to the new International Airport coming up near Vashi will benefit places like Navi Mumbai, Dombivali and Kalyan belt. The utmost emphasis will be on the vicinity connecting it, though Shilphata will be benefitted the most as it is the mid point from all the areas.

 

Places like Dombivali, Kalyan and the neighbouring places are developing rapidly in terms of social infrastructures like hospitals, schools, colleges, etc., as well as physical infrastructures like transportation, sewage, water & electricity supply et al.  This will guarantee that this region will preserve its allure as a prime location in the real estate market. To relieve the blockage caused due to heavy traffic in this area and to meet the needs of the future, Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) is building two flyovers, bearing in mind the rapid boost that this location is experiencing. These flyovers are built at Mahape and close to the state highway at Shilpahta- Mahape Road. Traffic movement is very important at both these places as it is a significant intersection connecting the old Mumbai Pune Highway. The traffic here is expected to increase after the completion of the Airport and the Trans- Harbour Link.

 

Kalyan is one of the imminent localities in the suburbs as all the local trains and long distance trains halt here. There are two routes for local trains, 1 that goes towards Karjat and the other to Kasara.

 

Kalyan is the midpoint for nearby places like Navi Mumbai, Thane, Ambernath, Bhiwandi, Dombivali and Ulhasnagar. Suburbs like Bhiwandi, Shahad and Murbad are close by from Kalyan.

 

Many young professionals are attracted to the industrial developments that have taken place in and around Dombivali- Kalyan belt. Reasonable and economical residential properties have given a new viewpoint about the real estate market in Kalyan. Most of the developers are constructing their townships in Kalyan, due to which the connectivity of this place has increased with the main city.

 

Due to the growth in reasonable and economical residential properties, retail success and commercial prospects, the Dombivali- Kalyan belt is surely going to notch itself in the future.
